The Place to Beach

This summer, the Pass is THE PLACE TO BEACH !

The programme will include: sand, sun and science…

During the holidays, alongside the permanent exhibitions and activities available in different indoor areas, the Pass is “The place to beach”, for a lovely day in the sun! An invitation to relax in the Pass’s gardens, which have been given a full makeover for a “beach” atmosphere.

  • Humans relaxing :

The summer is all about relaxing! On the grass, on a deckchair or in a hammock, make the most of the lovely weather or take a break from the sun in the pop-up cabins provided for the occasion.

  • The ball is in your court :

Summer isn’t summer without beach games! Enjoy some outdoor games over the two months of the holidays. Go head to head in a game of beach volleyball, table tennis, table football or speedball, create a magnificent sand sculpture, or enjoy the ball pit, a real hit with youngsters!

  • Fun workshops:

Every day, you can also take part in a series of activities led by the team of facilitators: programme a robot, build a house out of foam bricks, eradicate an epidemic in the chemistry lab, create a fabric case for your sunglasses with a laser cutter, or make some watercolours by following an experimental protocol…. There’s something for everyone, however old you are!

As well as the usual guided activities, the fun continues outside with a workshop focusing on boats, in keeping with the theme!

Young visitors can find out about the concepts of “sink or float” while having fun, while older participants will be able to make their own powered boat using salvaged objects. The challenge is to be ingenious and imaginative: which one will travel the fastest? Discover the animations for this summer.
