Technologies to take hold of...

In spring 2017, the Pass will be launching the WAOUH ZONE and THE PIXEL FACTORY: a dual-space dedicated to digital cultures. On the fringe of this event, numerous activities have been created to broaden people's awareness of current and future technologies.

Digital is everywhere in our daily lives, in our relationships with others and in the world, in all sectors of society, from medicine to industry, from culture to communication. Let's take it in hand!

THE WAOUH ZONE AND THE PIXEL FACTORY

From spring 2017, these two complementary spaces will occupy the ground floor of the Machine Room, a place packed with history and, in its time, marked by technological innovation.

THE WAOUH ZONE

An exhibition dedicated to digital cultures. It explores the boundaries between arts, science and technologies by immersing visitors in an extraordinary visitor's experience. Through interactive works, several artists question the relationships between man and machine, the boundaries between the real and the virtual. It takes an original look at digital technologies, both scientific and social.

THE PIXEL FACTORY

A "laboratory" in which everyone can take hold of technology and digital techniques. An activities area for discovering tools and machines, assimilating languages, deciphering the challenges of society or even tinkering and letting your creativity run wild.
A complete activity program accessible to everyone, the general public as well as schools.

DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY AND FAMILIES

During school holidays following the 2016 autumn break, in preparation for the Pixel Factory, families can come and discover the 3D printing, create their own smartphone App, program a robot or modify a software program to customise it. During the Christmas holidays, there's a major participatory workshop to explore the theme of innovation in a fun and interactive way. Fantastic ideas and skillful hands will be welcome to create original objects alongside the Pass team. 3D printers, soldering irons and new technologies will be at the ready!

DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY AND SCHOOLS

Technology education is a trademark of the Pass: from robotics competitions to activities in the TV studio and the Cyber-Space; over the years the Pass has developed an expertise that it wants to enrich even more with this ambitious project on digital technology.

As of September 2017, in addition to the current activities dedicated to robotics and 3D printing, the range of primary and secondary school activities will be further expanded with completely new digital projects.
